Start By:

  1. Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chocks (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".

    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

    Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies, on all tube assemblies and on all wire harnesses for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.

  1. Remove bolt (1) and two hard washers to disconnect rod assembly (2) from truck body (3).

  2. Use a suitable lift truck to raise ejector assembly (4) to a horizontal position.

  3. Remove cotter pin (6) from pin (5).

  4. Remove pin (5) from truck body (3) and ejector assembly (4).

  5. Use the lift truck to remove ejector assembly (4) from truck body (3). The weight of ejector assembly (4) is approximately 115.5 kg (254.6 lb).

  6. Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for the remaining ejector assembly.

  7. Install suitable clevises and suitable lifting devices to the front and rear lifting points (X) on truck body (3). The weight of truck body (3) is approximately 25855 kg (57000 lb).

  8. Repeat Step 7 for the opposite side of truck body (3).

  9. Use a suitable lifting device to support the weight of hoist cylinder (7). The weight of hoist cylinder (7) is approximately 834.61 kg (1840 lb).

  10. Remove two bolts (8), the two washers and bar (9) from truck body (3).

  11. Use Tooling (A) to remove pin assembly (10) and two spacers (11).

  12. Use the hydraulics of the truck to retract hoist cylinder (7) enough to clear the mounting bracket of truck body (3).

  13. Secure hoist cylinder (7) to the frame assembly.

  14. Repeat Steps 11 through 13 for the remaining hoist cylinder.

  15. Remove two bolts (13) and the washers to remove plate (12).

  16. Use two people to remove pin assembly (14) and washer (15) from truck body (3) and the frame assembly. The weight of pin assembly (14) is approximately 39.3 kg (86.6 lb).

  17. Repeat Steps 15 and 16 for the remaining pin assembly.

  18. Use the hoist to remove truck body (3) from the truck. The weight of truck body (3) is approximately 25855 kg (57000 lb).

  19. Position truck body (3) onto suitable cribbing.
