VIMS Keypad Module - Remove and Install

Usage:

785C 1HW

Removal Procedure

    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove six truss head screws (1) in order to separate instrument panel (2) from the front dash.

  2. Disconnect wire harness (3) from the electronic keypad control at the electrical connection.

  3. Disconnect lamp (4) from the electronic keypad control.

  4. Remove four screws (5) in order to remove electronic keypad control (6).

Installation Procedure

  1. Verify that all of the components of electronic keypad control (6) are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

  2. Inspect all of the components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

  3. Use four screws (5) in order to install electronic keypad control (6).

  4. Connect lamp (4) to the electronic keypad control.

  5. Connect wire harness (3) to the electronic keypad control at the electrical connection.

  6. Use six truss head screws (1) in order to install instrument panel (2) to the front dash.
