Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the retarder solenoid control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Retarder Solenoid Control Valve - Remove". The information is in this manual.

1. Remove nut (2) from coil assembly (1) .

2. Remove coil assembly (1) from cartridge (3) .

3. Remove cartridge (3) from valve body (4) .

4. Remove backup ring (6) , O-ring seal (7) and O-ring seal (5) from cartridge (3) .

5. Remove nut (8) and the washer from coil assembly (9) . Remove coil assembly (9) from valve body (4) .

6. Remove cartridge (13) from valve body (4) . Remove nut (12) , the washer, coil assembly (10) and cartridge (11) from valve body (4) .

7. Remove backup ring (18) , O-ring seal (15) , backup ring (17) , O-ring seal (14) , and O-ring seal (16) from the remaining cartridges (11) and (13) .

11. Remove orifice (24) from valve body (4) . Remove plugs (22) and orifices (23) from valve body (4) . Remove the O-ring seals from the plugs and the orifices.
