Assembly Procedure

1. Inspect all parts and clean all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

2. Install O-ring seal (30) to plug (31) . Install plug (31) , spring (29) and plunger (28) to valve body (14) .

3. Install sensor (27) and O-ring seal (26) to sensor housing (25) .

4. Install four bolts (21) , four bolts (22) , two half clamps (24) , two half clamps (23) , sensor housing (25) and the plugs to valve body (14) .

5. Install the hollow pin between the valve spool and diaphragm (18) . Install bolt (20) , stop (19) and diaphragm (18) to the valve spool. Tighten bolt (20) to a torque of 30 ± 7 N·m (22 ± 5 lb ft) .

6. Install spring (16) and stop (17) to valve spool (15) .

7. Install valve spool (15) , spring (16) and stop (17) as a unit to valve body (14) .

8. Install four bolts (12) and cover (13) to valve body (14) . Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 48 ± 7 N·m (35 ± 5 lb ft) .

9. Install slug (10) , spring (9) and O-ring seal (11) to spool valve assembly (1) .

10. Install four bolts (6) , wire clip (8) , the wire and plate (7) to valve assembly (1) . Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 48 ± 7 N·m (35 ± 5 lb ft) .

11. Install O-ring seals (2) , (3) , (4) and (5) to valve assembly (1) .
