- Position the final drive so that drain plug (2) is facing downward.
- Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain into a suitable container. Clean the drain plug and install the drain plug.
- Filler plug (1) will be horizontal to the centerline of the wheel. Remove the filler plug.
- Fill the final drive with oil to the bottom of the filler plug opening.
Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" for the correct type of oil and for the correct amount of oil.
If the specified amount of oil will not fit into the final drive, install the filler plug. Run the machine on level ground for a few minutes in order to equalize the oil level. Remove the filler plug and install the remaining oil.
- Install the filler plug. Operate the machine for a few minutes. Check the oil level. The oil level should be at the bottom of the filler plug opening.
Note: If the oil level is higher than the filler plug opening, do not allow the oil to drain to the level of the filler plug opening.
- Repeat the procedure for the other three final drives.
