Fuel Priming Pump - Remove and Install

Usage:

45 1DR

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Open the hood and apply the hood latch.

  1. Remove two bolts and washers (1). Remove the fuel priming pump and the gasket from the fuel filter base.

Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the condition of the gasket that is between the priming pump and the fuel filter base. If the gasket is worn replace the gasket with a new part.

  1. Both valve assemblies must be in position in the bottom of the fuel priming pump.

  1. Put the gasket and the fuel priming pump in position on the fuel filter base. Install two bolts and the washers (1) .

End By: Release the hood latch and close the hood.
