Hood - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

- Open hood latches (1) that are located on each side of the hood.

- Position Tooling (A) at the front of the hood, as shown. Insert a strap through the hole of the fuel filler cap. Tighten the strap around the hood and attach to a hoist, as shown.

- Remove the two bolts and washers (2) from left hood hinge (3). Remove the two bolts and washers (4) from right hood hinge (5) .

- Disconnect wiring harness (6). Remove the two bolts and washers (7) and remove the hood. The weight of the hood is 100 kg (220 lb).

Installation Procedure
- Position the hood in place. Install the two bolts and washers (7). Do not tighten completely at this time. Connect wiring harness (6) .

- Position hood hinge (3). Install the two bolts and washers (2). Position hood hinge (5). Install the two bolts and washers (4). Tighten bolts (2) and (4) .

- Carefully lower the hood to the closed position. Adjust the hood to the correct position and tighten bolts (7) .

- Raise the hood and lower the hood until the correct position is obtained.
- Close the hood latches (1) that are located on each side of the hood.
