Installation Procedure

1. Check gasket (11) for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the gasket.

2. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the turbocharger mounting studs and the bottom of locknuts (12) .

3. Put gasket (11) and the turbocharger in position on the exhaust manifold. Install four locknuts (12) and torque locknuts (12) to 54 ± 5 N·m (40.0 ± 4 lb ft). Install tube (1) in position on the turbocharger and tighten clamps (2) .

4. Check adapter (10) and the O-ring seal for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the parts. Install two bolts (9) that hold adapter (10) to the engine.

5. Check the gasket and the O-ring seal on the oil supply tube (8) for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the parts. Install oil supply tube (8), the gasket and the O-ring seal.

6. Slide exhaust tube assembly (6) toward the turbocharger and install clamp (7). Tighten two nuts (not shown) on clamp (5) .

7. Install air intake hose (4) and tighten four clamps (3) .

End By: Release the hood latch and close the hood.
