Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Purge the air from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".

1. Disconnect hose assembly (1) from air dryer (2).

2. Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Disconnect two hose assemblies (4) and (1) from primary air tank (3).

3. Disconnect hose assembly (6) and check valve (5) from the primary air tanks.

4. Disconnect two hose assemblies (7) and (8) from primary air tanks (3).

5. Remove three bolts (9), the washers and plate (10).

6. Remove four bolts (11) and the washers from each primary air tank (3). Remove each primary air tank (3) from the machine.

Installation Procedure

1. Position each primary air tank (3), as shown. Install four bolts (11) and the washers in each primary air tank (3).

2. Position plate (10), as shown. Install three bolts (9).

3. Connect two hose assemblies (7) and (8) to primary air tanks (3).

4. Connect check valve (5) and hose assembly (6) to the primary air tanks.
