Installation Procedure

- Install the seal into the cylinder head. Install governor connection tube (11) .

- Inspect the O-ring seal for wear and replace the seal, if necessary. Put the governor in position and install three bolts and washers (12) .

- Install clevis pin (13) onto Tooling (B). Slide Tooling (C) onto Tooling (B) .

- If necessary, remove the fuel shutoff solenoid and move lever (15) in the governor housing in order to align the components for installation of clevis pin (13) .
Note: Refer to the "Removal and Installation of Fuel Shutoff Solenoid" manual for proper installation.

- Use Tooling (C) to insert clevis pin (13) into position and install retainer ring (14) .

- Use Tooling (A) and slide governor connection tube (11) into the governor.

- Install spring clip (10) over governor connection tube (11) .

- Connect fuel hose assembly (9) and fuel ratio control assembly (6) to the governor. Install the fuel tube (7) and the oil tube (8) .

- Connect the fuel shutoff solenoid (5) at the wire harness.

- Position governor control cable (3) and tighten nut (2). Install clevis pin and cotter (1) .
- Check the fuel setting adjustment. Refer to the Systems Operation/Testing And Adjusting, SENR6454, "Fuel Setting".
