开始:
- 拆卸前壳体。 请参考解体与组装, "前壳体 - 拆卸"。

- 按照第 3 和 4 步中的步骤在前盖已拆下时确定燃油喷油泵的正时。 按照第 6 和 7 步中的步骤在前盖已安装时确定燃油喷油泵的正时。
注: 在全部正时步骤开始时,第 1 缸活塞应位于压缩行程的上止点。
注: 给出的曲轴旋向是由发动机飞轮端观看而确定的。
- 拆下电起动马达并安装工具 (A) 。

- 逆时针转动曲轴,直到曲轴齿轮上的 "C" 标记与凸轮轴齿轮上的 "C" 标记对准。

- 拆下两个塞子,然后将工具 (B) 安装到飞轮壳上。 大塞孔用于检视。

- 要确定 1 缸活塞的压缩行程上止点,使用工具 (A) 顺时针转动飞轮约 30 度。 此步骤应用与消除全部正时齿轮端隙。
- 使用工具 (A) 按照发动机旋转的方向逆时针转动飞轮,直到工具 (B) 可被安装到飞轮上。 此时,活塞即处于上止点。
注: 如果错过了螺栓孔,必须再次开始此步骤。
注: 从气门室盖上拆下呼吸器组件。 当第 1 缸的进气门和排气门都关闭时,活塞即处于压缩行程的上止点。 必须能够用手上下移动摇臂。
- 拆下固定自动正时提前装置的螺栓 (1) 和垫圈 (2) 。

- 安装螺栓 (1) 并保留 6.35 mm (.250 in) 的间隙。 如图所示,安装工具 (C) 。 拧紧螺柱,以便从燃油喷油泵凸轮轴上的锥体上松开燃油泵驱动齿轮。
