Removal Procedure

1. Loosen two rim clamps (2) and remove cover assembly (1) from the air cleaner housing.

2. Remove primary filter element (3) from air cleaner housing (4) .

3. Remove secondary filter element (5) from air cleaner housing (4) .

4. Remove eight bolts (6) and the nuts that secure air cleaner housing (4) to the air inlet pipe.

5. Remove air cleaner housing (4) and the gasket from the air inlet pipe.

Installation Procedure

1. Inspect all parts and clean all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

2. Position air cleaner housing (4) and the gasket to the air inlet pipe.

3. Install eight bolts (6) and the nuts that secure air cleaner housing (4) to the air inlet pipe.

4. Install a new secondary filter element (5) to air cleaner housing (4) .

5. Install a new primary filter element (3) to air cleaner housing (4) .

6. Install cover assembly (1) to the air cleaner housing. Latch two rim clamps (2) .
