NOTICE |
---|
Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless the service brakes fail. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the parking brake. |

Parking and Secondary Brake Control (1) - The parking and secondary brake control is located behind the transmission control. |
Parking Brake Engaged - Pull the control upward in order to engage the parking brake.
Parking Brake Disengaged - Push the control downward in order to disengage the parking brake.
When you stop the machine, move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position and engage the parking brake.
Note: The parking brake is an oil cooled multi-disc brake that is installed in the output transfer gear case. The parking brake is spring applied and hydraulically released.
Secondary Brake
The parking and secondary brake control also activates the secondary brake. The parking and secondary brake control will activate the parking brake only when the machine is stopped and the transmission control is in the NEUTRAL position.
The tractor wheel brakes and the parking brake will engage simultaneously if the transmission control is in any position except the NEUTRAL position or the machine is moving.
Note: The ground speed of the machine must be less than 3.2 km/h (2 mph) before the parking brake engages.
When the transmission control is in the NEUTRAL position and the parking and secondary brake control is in the ENGAGED position, the tractor wheel brakes will remain engaged provided that the engine is running.
The secondary brake must be used to stop the machine if the service brakes fail.
