The implement hydraulic system is composed of the following systems: the pilot hydraulic system, the main hydraulic system, the ride control system, the kickout system and the fan drive system. Hydraulic oil tank (37) is common to all of the systems.
The pilot hydraulic system is made up of the following components: pilot valve (oil manifold) (24), ball valve (hydraulic lever lock) (25), pilot control valve (26), pilot/brake pump (35) and the control levers.

The main hydraulic system is made up of the following components: main control valves (1) and (7), auxiliary cylinders (3) and (6), tilt cylinders (2), lift cylinders (8), attachment coupler cylinder (5), main relief valve (12) and implement pump (34) .
The ride control system is made up of the following components: shuttle valve (9), check valve (11), lift cylinders (8), ride control diverter valve (16) and ride control accumulator (10) .
The kickout system is made up of the following components: pilot valve (oil manifold) (24), pilot control valve (26), the lift positioner switch, the bucket positioner switch and the control levers.

The fan drive system is made up of the following components: hydraulic oil filter (28), hydraulic oil cooler (29), hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (30), fan drive pump (32) and fan drive motor (33) thermostatic valve (38) (if equipped).
Pilot/brake pump (35) is located under the cab. The implement pump, the pilot/brake pump, and the steering pump are mounted in tandem to the torque converter housing.
Pilot/brake pump (35) is a two-section vane pump. The pilot/brake pump has a common inlet for implement pump (34) and pilot/brake pump (35). However, there is a separate outlet for the implement pump and the pilot/brake pump.
Pilot/brake pump (34) supplies pilot pressure oil to pilot valve (24). Pressure tap (BB) is for measuring pilot pressure. The pressure tap is located on the pilot valve (24).

Location of Pressure Tap (CC) Pressure tap for main implement pressure |
Implement pump (35) supplies high pressure oil to main control valves (1) and (7). Pressure tap (CC) is for measuring implement pressure. The pressure tap is located near the articulation joint.
Main control valve (1), main control valve (7), ride control diverter valve (16), and pilot valve (24) are mounted to the front end frame. The pilot valve (oil manifold) controls the supply of pilot pressure oil to main control valves (1) and (7) .
Main relief valve (12) and line relief valves (13), (14), (15), (17), (18), and (19) are attached to the main control valves. The main control valves control the supply of high pressure oil to the implement cylinders.
Ride control diverter valve (16) controls the supply of oil to ride control accumulator (10). Ride control accumulator (10) is located in front of the articulation joint on the right side of the front end frame.
Ball valve (25) and pilot control valve (26) are located to the right of the operator's seat.
Pilot control valve (26) controls the movement of the valve spools in main control valves (1) and (7). Ball valve (25) prevents the flow of pilot oil to the pilot control valve when the lever is in the UP position.
Fan drive pump (32) is located on the left side of the engine. The fan drive pump supplies high pressure oil to fan drive motor (33) at the rear of the machine. Hydraulic oil cooler (29) and hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (30) are also located at the rear of the machine.

View of the Hydraulic Oil Tank (28) Hydraulic oil filter. (36) Breaker relief valve. (37) Hydraulic oil tank. (DD) Fluid sampling valve. |
Hydraulic oil tank (37) is located under the cab on the right side of the machine. Hydraulic oil filter (28) is located above hydraulic oil tank (37). Hydraulic oil filter (28) is in the return line from the fan drive system.
Breaker relief valve (36) is mounted on the top side of hydraulic oil tank (37). When the operator depresses the breaker relief valve, the pressure inside the hydraulic oil tank is released. Fluid sampling valve (DD) is located above the hydraulic oil filter.
