Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Install the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
2. Remove the compartment cover from the rear of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.

1. Disconnect electrical connection (1) .

2. Remove bolt (3) and the washer.

3. Remove resistor assembly (2) .

4. Remove the remaining two resistor assemblies in the same manner.

Installation Procedure

1. Install resistor assembly (2) .

2. Install bolt (3) and the washer.

3. Connect electrical connection (1) .

4. Install the remaining two resistor assemblies in the same manner.

End By:

1. Install the compartment cover at the rear of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
2. Remove the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
