Start By:
- Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Brake Release and Oil Cooling) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

- Before disassembly, thoroughly clean the outside of the gear pump.

- Remove pump cover (7).

- If necessary, remove dowels (10) from pump cover (7).
