7S-5106 Chuck May Have Two Different Thread Engagements

Usage:

OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCKALL OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCKS

Problem:

Two different 7S-5106 Air/Nitrogen Chucks have been released into the Caterpillar Parts System.

Solution:

Illustration 1 shows the two 7S-5106 Air/Nitrogen Chucks that have the two different thread engagements. The chucks with the threads that are below the entry of the port are NOT RECOMMENDED for use on Off-Highway Trucks. The chucks with the threads that are at the entry of the port are of the older style and are acceptable for use on Off-Highway Trucks.

The newer style chucks with the threads that are below the entry of the port are NOT RECOMMENDED for use on Off-Highway Trucks. The older style chucks have the threads that are at the entry of the port are of the older style and are acceptable for use on Off-Highway Trucks.
