Correct Reel Control Module May Not Have Been Installed Caterpillar

Problem:

Some combines that have pickup, stripper, and various other header attachments that do not have reel configurations installed; are receiving an error that reads; "Reel Raise/Lower Not Responding" on the CEBIS or IMO. With the current Reel Control Module the Auto Reel Height can be shut off; but due to a software error the above mentioned error will still occur.

NOTE: This bulletin is not applicable to machines with cornheads as attachments.

Solution:

If the above condition exists, install 188-7874 Reel Control Module. The New Reel Control Module will allow the Auto Reel Height to be shut off with no Reel Height errors occurring. The former module can be replaced with the new module with no other procedure required for the change. Follow normal warranty procedures to receive reimbursement.
