The 8W-4264 Mufler Brace No Longer Required

Usage:

Off-Highway Trucks776D (AFS1-Up),
777D (AGC1-Up),
777D HAA (AGY1-Up) OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCKS

Problem:

There is an error in the following references regarding an 8W-4264 Bracket: 777D Special Instruction REHS0563 (field assembly), SEPB3016 Parts Book, and SIS. When the trucks are to be assembled in the field, the service technicians are ordering a brace or improvising a Brace (A) that they believe is missing. The Weld Boss (B), in the illustration below, has been removed from the Hydraulic Tank (C). If the 8W-4264 Bracket is ordered, it will not fit.

Solution:

On the new models of trucks, the 8W-4264 Brace (A) is no longer needed in the installation of the 7C4013 Muffler Group. Below is a view of the 7C-4013 Muffler Group, which was correct for the earlier model of trucks, and the location of the former 8W-4264 Brace (A). The Weld Boss (B) is no longer on the Hydraulic Tank(C).
