Proper Placement Of Hydraulic Jacks When Raising The Rear End Of Pneumatic Compactors

Usage:

PAVING PRODUCTSPS-150B (3XR),
PS-200B (5JR),
PS-360B (9LS),
PF-290B (1XW) PAVING PRODUCTS

Problem:

Proper placement of hydraulic jacks when raising the rear of the PS150B/200B/360B/PF290B pneumatic compators is important in order to prevent damage to the differentials. Placing jacks under the differentials may cause the drain plug at the bottom of the differential to push up into the differential housing and damage the threaded drain hole of the housing. Additionally the force exerted by a fully balasted machine, on the bottom of the differential housing, may exceed the strength of the casting itself.

Solution:

When jacking up the rear of a machine, the jack should be placed under the rear corners of the machine frame.
