When reporting the repair, use "PS54049" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing Powertrain Joystick Switch can become loose on certain PL83 Pipelayers, D6N, D6R, D8T, and D9T Track-Type Tractors. If the joystick switch becomes lose it can cause a service code 2/2121-7 and/or 2121-2/2122-7. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
1) Disassemble handle from housing by removing the three screws indicated. |

2) Pull control out from housing. |

3) Remove four (4)screws holding the two (2) switches in place. 4) Apply Blue Loctite to screws (Loctite 242 or 243). 5) Reinstall screws and tighten while applying pressure to hold the switches in the indicated position. (see picture) |

6) If codes persist, replace controller completely with a new 337-6855 Handle Control Gp. 7) If codes are resolved, reassemble controller in housing. 8) Tighten M6 screws to a torque of 7 Nm. |
