When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field,
"7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code. |

Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst. |
Certain 352-4700 Alternators may have the incorrect rotor installed. If the alternator is installed it may fail prematurely. |
Inspect the date code on the back of all 352-4700 Alternators in dealer parts stock.
The suspect dates codes are 65905, 65907, and 75815. Image 1 shows where the date is at on the alternator.
If the alternator is marked with one of the suspect date codes, then remove the alternator from dealer parts stock.
If the alternator is not marked with one of the suspect date codes, then mark the packaging as inspected per this program and return the alternator back into dealer parts stock. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
