PARTS NEEDED
Qty |
Part Number | Description |
1 | 1527625 | CRANKSHAFT AS |
1 | 3931578 | DAMPER AS |
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 8% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the rear counterweight mounting pad for flatness and fretting on the crankshaft. Refer to the Reuse And Salvage Guideline, SEBF8039 and SEBF8042 to determine if the fretting depth still allows for the appropriate machine stock to true up the counterweight mounting surface. If fretting is found, the shaft may be resurfaced slightly to remove pitting and to restore proper flatness. If the fretting is outside of the reuse and salvage guidelines, the crankshaft must be replaced. At engine assembly, replace the damper assembly. The correct part number and crankshaft serial number must be reported in order to process the claim. |
