Usage:
NOTE: The seal with locking tab (1) fits only into window frames that used this seal before. Do not install this seal in place of earlier seals without locking tab (1).
The correct length, and the cutting angle at the ends of each seal trip are shown in the respective Parts Book.
No special tools are needed for the installation of the new seals. Usually, finger pressure on the rubber seal will push it into the correct position.
In sharp corners (A) of the frame, the seals are cut at a 45° angle. At all corners (D) with a radius, the seals are not cut.
Install short seals (1) at corners (A) first. The seal is longer than the frame, but all of the seal must be installed. Do not cut off any seal. Work it into place with finger pressure, from both ends (A) toward the center.
Next, install the longer seals (2) at corners (A) for a short distance. Then find the center (B) of the loose seal (see illustration). Now, install point (B) of the seat at center (C) of the frame. This will give you equal amounts of seal on top and bottom. Work the seal into place from points (A) toward corners (D), and also from point (C) toward corners (D).
NOTE: INSTALL ALL THE SEAL. DO NOT CUT ANY SEAL OFF.
