Various Non-Current Models

Reference: Special Instruction, SEHS9615, "Servicing DT Connectors"

Description of Change: The former speaker assembly that was used as a backup alarm has been discontinued and replaced by a different backup alarm.

Adaptable To: The new 123-6449 Backup Alarm replaces the former 3P-8993 Speaker Assembly which has been discontinued. The 123-6449 Backup Alarm is adaptable to former uses of the 3P-8993 Speaker Assembly by adding a 2 pin DT connector to the machine harness. Order one (1) 102-8807 Plug Kit, two (2) 9W-0844 Socket-Connectors, and one (1) 3S-2093 Strap-Cable for each speaker assembly being replaced with the backup alarm. Install the connector on the machine harness using the Special Intstruction referenced above as a guide. Once the connector is installed use the 3S-2093 Strap-Cable to secure the harness.

The new 123-6449 Backup Alarm is different in size than the former 3P-8993 Speaker Assembly and requires different mounting holes and bolts. The distance between the centers of the mounting holes on the new alarm is 152.4 mm (6.000 in) and hole diameter is 10.5 mm (.413 in). The 123-6449 Backup Alarm should be mounted in a level location for proper drainage of moisture out of the alarm.
