518 (50S, 94U, 55U, 95U) Skidders, FB518 (8ZC) Feller Bunchers, 518C (1CL) Cable Skidders, 518C (9HJ),
528 (97C) Grapple Skidders, 528 (51S, 96C) Skidders, 528B (8SJ) Cable Skidders, 530B (5BK) Grapple Skidders, 814 (90P) Wheel Tractors, 815 (91P) Soil Compactors, 920 (62K, 75J),
930 (41K, 73U, 79J, 71H, 8CB),
950 (15J, 81J),
966C (76J) Wheel Loaders

Description of Change: Improved carriers are available that increase the service life of the output shaft bearing of the torque converter. An orifice (A) between the torque converter inlet and the bearing seat has been added to these carriers. The orifice (A) directs cool pressurized oil to the output shaft bearing to increase the service life of the bearing.

Adaptable To: The 1T-1701 Carrier is used with the following torque converter groups: 1T-0408, 1T-0603, 1T-0604, 1T-0640, 1T-0725, 1T-0855, 1T-0865, 1T-0960, 1T-1526, and 1T-1984. The 1T-1016 Carrier is used with the following torque converter groups: 1T-1025, 1T-1030, 1T-1095, 1T-1986, and 1T-2019.

To add an orifice to the 1T-1016 Carrier or the 1T-1701 Carrier, a countersink is first added by using a 6.4 mm (.25 in) bit and drilling a depth of 1 mm (.04 in). The orifice is then added by using a 1 mm (.04 in) bit and drilling through to the oil passage. The approximate depth of the orifice passage is 15 mm (.06 in).
