Description of Change: A new, convertible end cover (convertible to standard or power beyond operations) replaces earlier, standard and (power beyond) end covers.
The auxiliary function (power beyond) must generate a pressure signal to the implement pump. The pressure signal causes the pump to upstroke, providing necessary flow to the auxiliary circuit.
The earlier, standard end cover had to be replaced with a (power beyond) cover, if power beyond main hydraulic control was needed. If power beyond was removed, the (power beyond) cover had to be replaced with the standard cover.
Adaptable To: The new 139-0238 End Cover replaces former 4T-2731 End Cover (Standard) and 4T-7862 End Cover (Power Beyond) used on 6E-4776 and 6E-4781 Control Valve Groups.
The new 139-0238 End Cover is adaptable to first production for all machines listed above.

Procedure To Convert New 139-0238 End Cover To Power Beyond Cover
1. Remove 9S-8005 Plug (4) and 3K-0360 Seal (5) from drain port (B).
2. Install new 139-0237 Plug Assembly, complete with 033-6039 and 3K-0360 Seals, in drain port (B) to convert to load sensing port.
The 139-0238 End Cover can be converted back to the standard cover by removing the 139-0237 Plug Assembly and installing a 9S-8005 Plug and 3K-0360 Seal.
NOTE: The new 139-0237 Plug Assembly provides a connection for the load sensing signal for the pump while blocking the drain passage in the end cover.
