Proper Adjustment Of Medium Wheel Loader F-Series II Type Cab Door Bumper{7301,7308}

970F (7SK, 9JK, 7PL) Wheel Loaders;
IT38F (6FN, 5DR) Integrated Toolcarriers.

Some medium wheel loader F-Series II type cabs have experienced door rattling and/or damage. The following adjustment procedure to engage the cab door with the conical bumper and mounting bracket should be used to rectify the problem.

Procedure To Adjust Cab Door

1. Loosen the 5C-7261 Jam Nut (2) on the 4E-1384 Conical Bumper (1).

2. Adjust the bumper all the way into the mounting bracket (B).

3. Place the door/window in the second catch/second click of the hold-open latch (A).

4. Adjust the bumper out until it firmly contacts the door/window. Tighten the jam nut in this position.

NOTE: If the bumper is compressed more than 1 mm (.04 in), replace the bumper.
