Description of Change: A new gasket is used in the air compressor groups on the above machines. The new gasket material has less rubber content. This helps prevent the new gasket from hardening and becoming brittle. The new gasket will provide better sealing and increased service life.

Location of new 100-6178 Gasket in typical air compressor group.

Adaptable To: The 100-6178 Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 7W-6084 Gasket in the air compressor groups on the above machines.

NOTE: When installing a new 100-6178 Gasket:

* The "beaded" side of the new gasket must be toward the front timing housing.
* The new gasket must NOT be coated with anti stick compound.
