Bolts Are Now Used In The Steering Linkage Group/Torque Specification Has Been Raised{4305}

784B (5RK) Tractors;
785 (8GB),
785B (6HK) Trucks

Description of Change: Bolts and washers are now used in the steering linkage group to secure the steering arm to the front spindle. The bolts and washers replace the earlier studs and nuts used in earlier machines. The torque specification has also been changed.

Adaptable To: New 2H-3758 Bolts and 4K-0684 Washers are effective with 784B (5RK1) Tractor and 785B (6HK223) Truck. The bolts are not adaptable to earlier machines that have the stud and nuts.

The torque specification for the new 2H-3758 Bolts is 1800 ± 200 N·m (1325 ± 150 lb ft).

NOTE: The same 1800 ± 200 N·m (1325 ± 150 lb ft) torque specification should be used on earlier machines that have the former studs and nuts.

Location of components. (1) 2H-3758 Bolt. (2) 4K-0684 Washer.
