Oversize Fuel Pump Drive Idler Shaft Available To Salvage Cylinder Block{1206}

Usage:

All Caterpillar Machines Powered By 3204 Engines

A new oversize fuel pump drive idler shaft is available to salvage cylinder blocks that have the bore for that shaft worn oversize. The new idler shaft is stepped and has an oversize diameter on the end that is pressed in to the block.

Dimensions for machining the cylinder block to use the 115-5234 Shaft (oversize fuel pump drive idler). (X) = vertical distance from center line of crankshaft to center line of bore for idler shaft = 106.617 ± .03 mm (4.1975 ± .001 in). (Y) = horizontal distance from center line of crankshaft to center line of bore for idler shaft = 36.289 ± .03 mm (1.4287 ± .001 in). (Z) = dimension of bore for oversize idler shaft = 26.194 ± .013 mm (1.0312 ± .0005 in) diameter, 25.5 ± .5 mm (1.00 ± .02 in) deep.

The new 115-5234 Shaft (oversize fuel pump drive idler) can be used to replace the 4N-0098 Shaft if the bore in the cylinder block is machined oversize. The illustration shows the dimensions for machining the cylinder block to use the new oversize shaft.
