Description of Change: The 8T1605 Stick Cylinder Piston Bolt has been replaced by the larger 8F5535 Bolt. The larger bolt will prevent possible loosening of the piston and subsequent damage to the stick cylinder and boom.
Adaptable To: The new 8F5535 Stick Cylinder Piston Bolt is effective with 416B (8SG5293, 8ZK572), 428B (7EJ2821) and 438B (3KK1142) Backhoe Loaders. This change is adaptable to all earlier machines. When installing this change to earlier machines, dealers will need to replace the piston, rod assembly and bolt or replace the complete cylinder group. See the following chart for the parts needed.
