Lubrication Oil Recommendations Have Been Changed For Caterpillar OFF-Highway Trucks And Tractors{0374,0375}

Revisions have been made to the recommended lubrication oils for Caterpillar Off-highway Trucks and Tractors. Key points to remember are:

* Multi grade oils should not be used in the transmission or in the hoist, converter, and brake hydraulic system.
* It is recommended to use the heaviest weight oil allowed in the following lubricant viscosity chart.
* This information supersedes any previous publications which may contain conflicting information.
* Oils that contain friction modifiers (non-TO-4) should not be used in the transmission, hoist, torque converter or brake cooling system.

NOTE: When operating below -20°C (-4.0°F), Use Operation & Maintenance Manual, SEBU5898, "Cold Weather Recommendations", available from your Caterpillar dealer.
