Larger Retaining Bolts Can Be Used In The Front Axle Group Pivot Pins To Improve Service Life In Severe Applications{4313}

The 0T-0055 Bolt used to retain the front axle pivot pins may fail in certain operating conditions. A larger 8D-0648 Bolt can be used to retain the front axle pivot pins in severe applications. Use the following method to install the larger bolts.
1. Use a 13.8 mm (.54 in) drill to increase the size of the hole in the front axle pivot pin and retaining bracket.
2. Install an 8D-0648 Bolt and 1K-6872 Nut in the front axle pivot pin and retaining bracket.
