Usage:
826C ( 87X587-Up ) Compactors
A new hydraulic belly guard is available as an attachment for the above compactors. This attachment allows the guards to be lowered and raised hydraulically for cleaning and access to the lower area of the compactor.
The hydraulically-actuated belly guard is effective with 87X652. The hydraulically-actuated belly guards can be added to earlier machines 87X587-651 with the addition of 6W9766 Compactor Guard Actuator Arrangement. See Page 228.02 of Parts Book for 826C Compactors, SEBP1637-01 for the groups in this arrangement.

A small amount of welding will be necessary on machines prior to 87X587. Two brackets have to be fabricated and welded to the frame to pivot the hydraulic cylinders. See Illustrations 1 and 2 for fabricated dimensions of the brackets. See Illustration 3 for bracket locations on the frame and welding requirements.
