416, 426, 428, 436, 438 Backhoe Loaders
Four seat slide rail conversion kits are now available to provide improved heavy-duty slide rails for all backhoe loaders. Improved release mechanisms are also available for the earlier machines. The improvements allow greater ease in releasing the seats to rotate for operating the backhoe implements.
The new conversion kits to install the improved slide rails are adaptable to 416 Loaders 5PC1-6592, 426 Loaders 7BC1-2016, 428 Loaders 6TC1-2940, 436 Loaders 5KF1-Up and 438 Loaders 3DJ1-Up. The conversion kits that include the lever type seat release are adaptable to 416 Loaders 5PC1-3121 and 426 Loaders 7BC1-554. The following list identifies the part number and its application.
...9R6489 Rail Conversion Kit converts the static seat with a lever type seat release to heavy-duty slide rails.
...9R6494 Rail Conversion Kit converts the suspension seat with a lever type seat release to heavy-duty slide rails.
...9R6506 Rail Conversion Kit provides the improved lever type seat release and heavy duty slide rails for the static seat with the slide back type seat release mechanism.
...9R6507 Rail Conversion Kit provides the improved lever type seat release and heavy duty slide rails for the suspension seat with the slide back type seat release mechanism.
Special Instruction, Form SEHS8975, "Installation of Seat Slide Rail Conversion Kit 9R6489, 9R6494, 9R6506 and 9R6507" provides the necessary procedure for installing the four conversion kits to their applicable seat. Special Instruction, Form SEHS8737, "Installation of New Latch Assembly for 416 Seat Groups" provides the procedure to install the new lever type seat release parts for the seats with the slide back type release mechanisms.
