Description of Change: A new rocker arm shaft assembly and new bolts are used in the valve mechanism for all 3500 Family of Engines. The former bolts had a special reduced diameter body for high bolt stretch. The new bolts have a standard diameter bolt body. The bolt holes on the new rocker arm shaft assembly are chamfered for clearance with the bolt head fillet. See a comparison of the bolts in the illustration.

Adaptable To: The new 8T7581 Bolt and 7C2377 Rocker Arm Shaft Assembly, when used together, are direct replacements for the former 4W9779 Bolt. The new 7C2377 Shaft Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 2W8888 Shaft Assembly.
