Usage:
All CBSA Built Machines With 3300 Family Of Engines
Description of Change: A new alternator with an integrated solid state voltage regulator is used on all CBSA built machines (see the chart for the models) with 3300 Family of Engines. The new alternator also has increased output capability (21 Amp verses 17 Amp) and two bearings instead of one on the rear end of the rotor assembly. The new alternator will provide increased capacity and reliability to the electrical system.
Adaptable As: The new 2Y8310 Alternator Group replaces the former 2Y4212 Alternator Group and separate 2Y2929 Voltage Regulator on all CBSA built machines with 3300 Family Engines. The new alternator is in effect as shown in Chart A. If a new 2Y8310 Alternator Group is used to replace a 2Y4212 Alternator Group and 2Y2929 Voltage Regulator, the wires that connected the regulator to the alternator must be taped and the former voltage regulator must be removed.
The serviced components of the new 2Y8310 Alternator Group are shown in the illustration and listed in Chart B.
