Description of Change: New planet carrier shafts and pins are used in the transmissions for the above machines. The oil passage in the new shaft is smaller in diameter than the one in the former shaft. This gives more contact surface between the pin and the shaft.
It was possible for the former pin to move in or out of the shaft. This could result in movement of the shaft out of the planet carrier.
The new pin is longer than the former pin. This also increases the amount of contact surface between the pin and shaft.
The new shaft is also used as a replacement for shafts that used a ball lock to hold them in place.
Adaptable As: The new shaft and pin are direct replacements for the former shaft and pin as shown in the chart.
NOTE: When a replacement of the planet carrier shaft is made, it is necessary to make a replacement of the other two shafts in the planet carrier to keep it in balance.
