New Flywheel Housing Assembly Available{1157}

Usage:

All 3500, 3500 with EUI, and 3500B Commercial Engines

Description of Change: A new SAE Number 0 (single zero) flywheel housing assembly is available for these engines. The new flywheel housing assembly does not have a drain hole in the bottom. In some mobile equipment applications the driven equipment is not bolted to the flywheel housing assembly and the engine is subjected to high shock loads (g-forces). These conditions may cause cracks to develop around the drain hole of the standard flywheel housing assembly. The new flywheel housing assembly, without the drain hole, will help prevent these cracks.

Adaptable To: The new 169-7302 Flywheel Housing Assembly can be used as a replacement for the 105-3045 or 7W-3721 Flywheel Housing Assembly on these engines. The new flywheel housing assembly is only to be used in applications that do not require drain capability for the flywheel housing assembly.
