Use Correct Procedures To Charge Suspension Cylinders With Oil {7201}

Usage:

768 ( 79S, 2X ),
772 ( 11S, 64W ),
776 ( 14H ) Tractors;
769 ( 99F, 35W, 1X ),
773 ( 63G, 63W ),
777 ( 84A ) Trucks;
772 ( 10S ),
776 ( 14W ) Wagons

Some failures of suspension cylinders have been caused by an oil charge that was not correct. The procedure to charge the suspension cylinders with oil is similar on the above models, but the quantity of oil is different. Make reference to the Service Manual for procedures to use when the cylinders are charged.

Some suspension cylinders are charged with oil until they are filled, while the cylinder is retracted. Others are filled with enough oil so the cylinder is extended 25.4 mm (1.0") after they are filled. The chart which follows shows the correct fill for the suspension cylinders on each model.
