6V3184 Brush Group Available To Clean Crankshaft Oil Passages{0622,1202}

All Caterpillar Engines

The 6V3184 Brush Group is available to clean the crankshafts on all Caterpillar engines.

During an engine overhaul, it is necessary to remove all the plugs and clean all the oil passages in the crankshaft.

Two brushes, one 8 mm (.31") in diameter and the other 11 mm (.43") in diameter, come in the group.

"Guideline For Reusable Parts--Visual Inspection Of Crankshafts," Form No. SEBF8043 has complete instructions for the removal of plugs, which brush to use and how to clean the oil passages in the crankshaft.
