PROBLEM
The existing 149-3060 Pump Drive Group (304-6663 on some earlier machines) can overheat, due to elevated oil levels, and fail the bearings and/or gears on certain 793D Off-Highway Trucks. The magnetic plug for the pump drive needs to be inspected every 500 hours. If debris is present on the magnetic plug, the pump drive will need to be replaced. Refer to the images in the attached rework procedure to determine whether the plug has sufficient debris to require the replacement of the pump drive. |
