In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 1% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer. |

****Affected Product**** |
The brake filter group check valve is considered failed if the check valve poppet is loose or failed.
Visually inspect the filter head during a filter change. No threads for the check valve should be visible inside the filter base (see Image 1 and Image 2). If the filter head on the 290-2567 or 3350980/">335-0980 Brake Filter Group shows exposed threads, the check valve is loose and should be replaced with a new 3350980/">335-0980 Brake Filter Group.
If the valve has loosened sufficently to allow the poppet to dislodge (see image 3), the poppet will flow downstream to the brake pump unloader valve (See Image 4). The machine may see E526 system event (BkPmp Prs NoRsp). The brake pump unloader valve should also be replaced if the poppet is found in the brake pump unloader.
The 290-2567 was replaced by the 3350980/">335-0980 to improve serviceability of the machine.
Improved staking of the 3350980/">335-0980 Brake Filter Group check valve happened on lot #207824 from the supplier. Additional machines not included on the service letter built with parts from lots prior to #207824 have been reworked at the factory by the supplier. The lot number is printed on the film applied to the filter head.
The 6V-9008 adapter, 8C-6515 adapter, 228-7093 seals, and 238-5084 seals are required to update from machines equipped with a 290-2567 Brake Filter Group to a 3350980/">335-0980 Brake Filter Group. The 6V-9008 replaces the 6V-9008 adapter and 8C-6516 adapter replaces the 8C-4082 adapter. |
