If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing 285-5236 Wiper Motor on certain 777F Off-Highway Trucks may fail. The wiper motor may fail due to a park position issue or a linkage issue. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Remove all 285-5236 motors from dealer parts stock. |
Replace the existing 285-5236 Wiper Motor with a 330-5058 Wiper Motor. Use two 129-3178 Locknuts and two 9X-8256 Washers in addition to the existing hardware to retain the wiper motor to the cover plate. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure for installation instructions. |

1. Remove the wiper arm from the wiper motor. 2. Remove four bolts and washers to remove the plate from the front of the cab. 3. Disconnect the electrical connection, remove the two bolts and washers, and remove the wiper motor from the plate. 4. Install a 330-5058 Wiper Motor to the plate with the existing bolts and washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 9 +/- 1 Nm (7 +/- 1 lbf). 5. Install two 129-3178 Locknuts and two 9X-8256 Washers on the back of the bolts. Tighten the locknuts to a torque of 9 +/- 1 Nm (7 +/- 1 lbf). 6. Connect the electrical connection to the existing connector. 7. Reinstall the plate with the existing four bolts and washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 +/- 7 Nm (21 +/- 5 lbf). 8. Install the wiper arm to the wiper motor and tighten the retaining screws to a torque of 14 +/- 2 Nm (10 +/- 1 Lb ft) |
