New Woodward Governor PSG Groups Improve Engine Stabability{1264,1265}

Usage:

G3406 (4FD) Engines

Description of Change: The Woodward PSG Groups and the carburetor control groups in the above engines have been improved to reduce high frequency linkage motion and provide better control of the engine.

The lever angle on the carburetor control groups has been changed. The lever angle has changed from 6 degrees shut-off position (with respect to the vertical axis) to 90 degrees shut-off position (with respect to the horizontal axis).

The new basic governor groups have a slower response time but it does not affect the engine capabilities.

Adaptable To: See the above charts for adaptability cross reference of the new and former PSG Groups and the new and former governor output levers. The new basic governor groups are effective with 4FD1149-Up Engines.

Typical view of the electronic governor group. Lever in the maximum fuel position (A). Lever in the 90 degree shut-off position (B).

NOTE: The new 132-7461 Governor Output Lever must be used with the new basic governor groups.
