Preventive Measure For Protection Of Air Prelube Pumps{1319}

Usage:

3606 (8RB),
3608 (6MC),
3612 (9RC),
3616 (1PD) Industrial Engines

The above engines, which contain air prelube pumps, should use the following procedure prior to initial startup and for long downtime periods in order to prevent air from corroding the prelube pump motor.

1. Remove the silencer on the air outlet of the prelube pump motor.

2. Pour an all-purpose lubricant such as WD40®, CRC, or 10-weight oil directly into the motor.

3. Reinstall the silencer on the motor air outlet.
