Usage:
3208 (75V, 01Z) Marine Engine
Description of Change: A new electroless, nickel-plated oil pan is now available with all 3208 Marine Engines. The electroless nickel-plating provides a hard, durable, and scratch-resistant corrosion protection barrier for the oil pan.
2W-4651 Oil Pan Assembly with nickel-plating that is 0.025 mm (0.0010 in) of minimum thickness over the entire surface including all internal passages and threads: Top view (1). End view (2). Oil pan drain plug (3). Side view (4).
Adaptable To: The electroless, nickel-plated 2W-4651 Oil Pan Assembly is a direct replacement for former 8N-1651 Oil Pan Assembly in the naturally aspirated engine (75V1-Up). The 2W-4651 Oil Pan Assembly is also a direct replacement for former 4N-4475 Oil Pan Assembly in the turbocharged engine (01Z1-Up). The 2W-6145 Oil Pan Assembly replaces 8N-1651 Oil Pan Assembly used on turbocharged models (75V1-Up) built with naturally aspirated cylinder blocks.
In order to prevent corrosion to the steel oil pan bolts, a silver-colored corrosion coating has been added to 9L-9178 Bolts and 9L-8402 Bolts.
Yellow paint has been added to 6N-4134 Block used on the naturally-aspirated models and to 9N-3338 Rear Bracket of the engine oil cooler base used on the turbocharged models. The yellow paint is applied to prevent corrosion of the aluminum base and of the steel bracket.
The oil pan drain plugs have been changed to a stainless-steel material.
