New Bench Checking And Setting Procedure For Fuel Ratio Control (FRC) Mechanical Goverened Engines{1264,1265}

Usage:

3114, 3116, 3126 Industrial, Marine and Generator Set Engines

Reference: "3114, 3116 And 3126 Engine Governors" (MUI) SENR6454; Page 48, 52.

There is a new governor FRC bench checking and setting procedure. See the Reference Article and the following steps:

* Rotate the governor throttle lever from against the HIGH Idle screw to the LOW Idle screw and back against the HIGH Idle screw.

NOTE: The above step should be done with a "snapping" or "quick" release motion. The governor test stand throttle spring will assist in making this a fast movement.

NOTE: All factory built governors are set using this method.

NOTE: The above procedure must be used or the governor FRC (on engine setting) may appear to be too HIGH (rich). If this method is not used to set the FRC on the 1U-7326 Governor Calibration Bench, the setting will be too LOW (lean) and the engine less responsive.
