3512 (51Y),
3516 (28Z) Vehicular Engines

Description of Change: If 3500 Commercial Engines are experiencing low fuel pressure, hard starting or reduced power, check the fuel pressure regulating plunger. Scoring or scuffing of this plunger or fuel manifold housing can cause the pressure regulating valve to operate incorrectly. For added reliabilty, a new plunger has replaced the former plunger. The new plunger is heat treated and will resist scuffing inside the fuel manifold. If scoring of the plunger or manifold housing is present, replace both parts.

Typical location of fuel pressure regulating valve and 114-5477 Plunger.

Adaptable To: The new 114-5477 Plunger is a direct replacement for the former 1W-7535 Plunger. The former plunger is canceled. The new 114-5477 Plunger is in effect as shown in the chart.
